MissyP89
Did you change the email address you used to register? My friend did that and was locked out of her account--no one's fault--for weeks. The phorum does weird things sometimes. Glad you're back, though!

Marie-Therese
QUOTE (Marie-Therese @ May 27 2009, 03:25 PM) * And I will ora pro you. Orabo pro te.
Resurrexi, even in jest you just can't control yourself. You're correcting joke grammar. Let me guess. Once you are able to go to seminary, you're going to specialize in linguistics. Either that, or you're going to walk around the seminary halls with a grammatically correct Latin inscribed paddle, hitting anyone who leaves a participle dangling. ROFL you are too much! I admire your amazing knowledge at such a tender age, though. Truly.

OraProMe
ha, I think the point she was making is you shouldn't be so "strict" (wrong word?). The latin was just a joke, no need to correct her haha There is much more to the faith than legalistic documents and latin. Thanks guys, it's good to be back

This is why centuries-old documents in dead languages are of supreme importance.
Marie-Therese
Resurrexi, I have nothing but admiration for you. I took no offense to your grammar admonition, and you are absolutely correct that we must be vigilant in our adherence to the Magisterium and its teachings, including those in the language of the Church. But I still think that it's OK to have a moment of levity when the subject does not pertain to Church doctrine, or any of our sacred beliefs. I will be more mindful of my posts...thank you for being serious. It is a credit to your faith. I have no doubt that whatever vocation God leads you to, it will be nothing but the greatest service to Him. Your sister in Christ, Peyton
