dominicansoul
Bashing the religion and slandering it's founder is the way to go if you want to give more fuel to the reactionary elements of the religion. A respectful discussion is more likely to encourage the larger, peaceful majority.
bashing does not equal exposing truth... maybe, just maybe, you need to take your own advice...and not bash our Faith. To even imply that our Faith is some how sexist when yours has severe elements of sexism in it (and you fail to admit that..) is very immature of you. You need to grow up and learn to take some criticism of your islamic faith. take what the thread is about, and show why Ms. Sultan is wrong. Don't bash her character. Talk about what she is speaking of and try to counter that with whatever is wrong with it. Some of us have been very respectful towards islam in this thread. there was no need for you to attack our Bible.

There is no denying the horrors these Muslim women face in Islamic society. It is FACT. Hassan has not come into this thread to agree that these horrors need to be corrected, nor does he even offer other video interviews or articles of Muslim men (and women) acknowledging that there is a problem; instead he immediately gets defensive and turns the thread into something it's not. Islam, Christianity, and Judaism all have what the contemporary world would see as sexist elements in it. That doesn't mean they are wrong, but it does mean the conflict with modern assumptions and philsophies to an extent.
dominicansoul
but your statement was meant to bash our Christian Faith. Women don't need to stay at home and raise children to be saved. you know that. that's a ridiculous statement, meant only to attack...
