Addicted Relationship

There is a very young man (in his early early 20's) who has a type of neediness to him. He's always been one to HAVE TO have a girlfriend, or else he's miserable...

He left to college last semester and got involved with a young lady. He eventually moved in with her, and started to neglect his God. He no longer goes to Mass, doesn't bother to have a relationship with Jesus... all he thinks about and wants to focus on is this young lady...

He recently came home from college for summer break. He had told his whole family he would be with them for the summer. But his addiction to this girl has won him over, and he told them this week he was going to move in with her for the summer. He's flying back to her regardless of the fact his family made plans that included him for the summer.

His poor mother is heartbroken, as this behavior is extremely obsessive. The young lady, on the observance of a trust worthy source, DOES NOT treat this young man very well. She doesn't care that this is tearing his family apart. At the same time, I am fearful that she does not feel the same for him, and if someone new comes along, it will tear this young man's heart out.

Please, please pray that this addiction ends, and that Antony (the young man's name,) is healed of this obsession and learns to respect the wishes of his family. He is hurting them very much. He also has stated to them that he expects to marry this girl!
