The British North American Act. It's got lovely tidbits of wisdom like this:
Unless it is otherwise expressed or implied, the Name Canada shall be taken to mean Canada as constituted under this Act.

Canada shall be divided into Four Provinces, named Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick.
All in all, it's extremely lame. It's very much a legal document.

For example: Can. 331 The office uniquely committed by the Lord to Peter, the first of the Apostles, and to be transmitted to his successors, abides in the Bishop of the Church of Rome. He is the head of the College of Bishops, the Vicar of Christ, and the Pastor of the universal Church here on earth. Consequently, by virtue of his office, he has supreme, full, immediate and universal ordinary power in the Church, and he can always freely exercise this power. (Catechism of the Catholic Church 2243) I don't think the American Revolution met those conditions.
Nihil Obstat
You don't think so? Well it would make a good debate. I'm not informed enough to have a legitimate opinion. It was successful, so that proves #4 right. That's about as far as I can take it.
