Used to be you couldn't purchase US military medals. So collectors would "buy" a commemorative stamp to put on a package that you receive a "free" medal in. Luckily it is still illegal to buy a Medal of Honor.

I bought a first class relic off eBay once. It was suppose to be the finger of St Peter, but when I got it, it was an old mozzarella stick.

Lesson learned.

It is against ebays policy to sell body parts (organs for example) so I would imagine this would be covered under that policy... at least one would hope.

What about, say, toenail clippings?

After reviewing their prohibited items lists I think nails and hair would be allowed. Here is the list:

I think I have a first class relic of St John Vianney.

If you're ever in G-Vegas or Chapel Hill you can have it.

Seriously?! I would pay the shipping if you'd send it to me! :D

I'll think about it. If it were just mine I would no problem, but it was a gift, so I might feel kind of funny giving it away.

Note I said "I think" though. I know it's a relic from St. John Vianney but am not sure what class it is. I have the latin document though. If you or someone else ould translate the latin and were still interested I'd consider sending it (it was a gift from the Vicar of my home Parish, which is why I'm not sure how I feel about giving it away yet).

If you want to scan the Latin document and email it to me (if you don't still have my email I can give it to you) I'd be glad to translate it. :)
