Resurrexi
Breaking News Fellay received in the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith last Friday The Spanish religious website Religión en Libertad reports: Bishop Bernard Fellay received on Friday at [Congregation for the] Doctrine of the Faith ... Last Friday, rumors about a possible arrangement between the Vatican and the Fraternity of Saint Pius X [FSSPX / SSPX], founded in 1970 by French Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre (1905-1991) reappeared in Rome. It all began with the news of the presence in the Eternal City of the Superior of the society, Bishop Bernard Fellay, who last Wednesday had an appointment in the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. The remainder of the article merely describes the events of the past few years, including the letter of the Supreme Pontiff which placed the Pontifical Commission 'Ecclesia Dei' under the authority of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. dominicansoul
God willing, the SSPX will make things right and return to the fullness of Our Faith... ...but if and when that happens, what happens to the excommunication of Lefebvre? He's already dead... I guess i'm showing my ignorance, but I'm really curious. Does the Church undo excommunications of deceased?? And what happens then to that soul? OraProMe
St. Athanasius was excommunicated too. Aloysius, just use wikipedia. That seems fairly un-biased.
