the lords sheep
If I can't prove my faith wrong then the world has no hope.
Can you explain what you mean by this? I'm just curious. I, like you, am naturally an analytical thinker, but I don't follow you on this statement.

I, like you, am naturally an analytical thinker, but I don't follow you on this statement.
Two reasons really. Atheists, protestants and just general people in this secular world will be quick to tell you how stupid the idea of organized religion or even the existence of God is. Someone who's already addressed those issues and came out on the Church's side could maybe explain their logic better than someone who hasn't thought about it at all. Second, I'm not a Catholic just because I like the pretty Mass or all the nice robes. I mean, I like those things, but I could go to the Anglican parish down the street and have all that aswell as a steady relationship with another guy. The reason I stay with the Church is because logic and history tells me that Catholicism is the one true religion founded by Christ. If I didn't look at my religion in a intellectual and almost clinical way chances are I'd be at St. Pauls with a woman priest at the altar and James holding my hand next to me. That made no sense, sorry. I'm so tired and should be getting ready for Mass.

bonkers
Wow. Slow down. NOT believing something that came from Christ's mouth is dumb. Believing it because it IS the Word of God-that's not dumb. God gave you a brain, but He also gave straightforward teaching in the Bible. It's as clear as day-the homosexual act is sinful.
Hahaha, it's as clear as you wish it to be. What about all the disagreement between church fathers? Hence the need for a pope, lol.
Winchester
Stop preaching to me about things I already know. I've made a lot of sacrifices to follow the Church because I love God and want to keep his word. So you can drop the attitude, alright?
Tell me you're aware of the irony.
