According to traditional English grammar, it would have been incorrect if I had written, "Ought I be afraid?" Resurrexi
Some modern English grammarians, however, approve of the use of ought followed by a verb without to. These are the same evil grammarians who pervert our language by permitting the split infinitive in certain instances as well as the diabolical "singular they". If I were to become apply for a seminary, I'd definitely apply to one of the fraternities or institutes whose priests celebrate the Mass exclusively in the extraordinary form. Right now, my plan is to go to one of the several very orthodox Catholic universites in the United States.

I think it would be interesting for you to go to a secular college. You'd make a good counter balance. It can be fun to be a counter balance. In fact I still often am. Believe it or not I'm not as hostile to religion as I come off here. It also might be good for you, although I don't know enough about you to make any sound judgement about that. Also, if I wanted to do a minor in theology (or perhaps even a major) a secular university would not be the best place to do that. It'd be very interesting to see the way you interact with other people. I have a question too. Are your parents devout Catholics and did they introduce you to the EF Mass? Atheism is so fashionable in American secular colleges it's healthy for the snarky militant atheists to be conftonted with a strong, knowledgible religious person. I decided to go to the EF for the first time after reading about it online.
