On the other hand its nothing like phatmass. Phatmass ranks a 9 out of 10 in my book. CA ranks a 3 out of 10. They get 3 for their tracts. Apart from their website though, Karl Keating has written some pretty amazing books.

I registered for an account just so I could read some articles. It seems like there's so many members that none of them know each other...... but maybe I have a false impression.

They're website sure is easy to remember if you ever want to find out about apologetics http://www.catholic.com/ and the book Catholicism vs. Fundamentalism is a good one. We used it in my apologetics class in high school.

They have some of the best apologetics resources on the Web, though the searches have gotten harder since they put of the forum (more links to forum threads, as opposed to actual articles).

I've used their resources many times on Phatmass debates myself.

Some people are much too quick to "beat up on" their fellow orthodox Catholics.

I think that in the family life forum and the clubhouse, people know each other better. I usually hang out in the clubhouse. The "serious" forums tend to include some fighting. And it's harder to know from what background the person posing is.
But nevertheless it has been a great help for me when I was first starting researching Catholicism.

I always liked Catholic Answers. Lot of resources (including access to prior magazine issues of "This Rock"), large forum community with a wide range of topics, and overall an orthodox Catholic organization that we ought to give support as well.

I like Phatmass' size since it's easier to get to know people, but sometimes if I want to go to a larger Catholic board to view a wide range of topics with a lot more feedback, Catholic Answers' forums are satisfactory.

I feel that the threads at Catholic Answers go in circles. Someone says something, then a few hours and ten pages later someone says the exact same thing. People continue to argue about it, and no-one pays attention to anything anyone else says.

That's a tendency amongst large internet forums in general. The more users + number of pages = increase chances of repetition.

Yea, I can see how that gets frustrating.
Imagine how bad it would be if it was the same person bringing up the same topic every time though! How much worse would that be, say.... the number of ecumenical councils there are.
Not that would be annoying.
