mcts
I wish they would try to save their marriage without the show. When they first started the show, they got along great, and they had 6 two year olds and two 6 year olds.
Lil Red
+J.M.J.+ in my opinion, they continue to put love of money over love of their children. contrast them with the McCaughey septuplets. i pray for the children. they already will have problems dealing with having their lives recorded for all to see. to add a divorce to the mix is very sad. lost_in_this_world
i wish they wouldnt get divorced. i love the show and i thought they were doing fine. i dont think they ever exploited their children at all. the tabloids did.
DominicanPhilosophy
Yeah, it is a shame to see this happening. However, I don't like the way that TLC exploits families by first doing documentaries, and, very quickly, turning them into actual shows. The Gosselin parents mentioned that the show was the way they supported their family; that's great, and *obviously* they were living extremely well, but the kids appear SO spoiled (and the parents, too), and I'm sure that the family could have supported itself through other means - ie, Jon getting a job. I'm not trying to knock them or anything, and I have great admiration for Kate, especially, but if they refused the multi-million dollar offer to turn their life into a TV show for the world to critique, I have a feeling things would have turned out much differently...if nothing else, things would've turned out much differently for the kids, who will now never be allowed to live down their parents' divorce, thanks to the media. They need our prayers, pham! +JMJD

VoTeckam
I remember watching an interview with them when theshow first started and the interviewer asked how kate's body has changed since the birth of the sextuplets and Jon cringed and said it changed a lot. My heart ached for Kate at that moment. Her body was the vessel that brought 8 of his kids into the world and he had the nerve to make a face. John isn't man enough to be a husband or a father to 8 children. That was apparent from the start. I pray for some change of heart for the two of them. They have beautiful children who don't deserve to have a video album of a terrible time in the lives of their parents. So sad.
BG45
I don't watch it, but my radio station I always listen to has been talking about it nonstop since the marriage issues arose. "I used to love it, but is it morally right for me to watch now that the ratings have gone through the roof because they have problems?"

That episode was the first time we saw that their relationship was in serious trouble. I was not interested in watching their problems be exploited so I haven't watched since even though I think those kids are so cute.
BG45
I can't blame you, you're approach is better than the Air1 host's. At least you stopped watching, instead of the day after each episode, bemoaning things and talking about how you should stop watching!
VoTeckam
It is just so sad. I didn't want to see the kids sitting togethe rin a group like they do sometimes for interviews and having to answer questions like, "How does it make you feel that mommy and daddy aren't here at the same time anymore?" I don't know if that has happened yet but it seemed like that is where the show was going. I cann't imagine how painful it is for the kids to experience this with cameras around and with all of their friends knowing what is going on. CatherineM
We heard about it on the radio while a friend was driving us downtown. My husband wanted me to explain how it could happen. His disease makes hidden agendas hard for him to understand. I told him when guys are on TV, they collect groupies. All that attention is hard to turn down, especially when your wife is tired from taking care of 8 kids every day. Being in the public eye can ruin people really quick.
