Simple version of Puerto Rican stewed beans that I consume on a regular basis.

Chopped cooking ham
diced pimientos
Puerto Rican style sofrito
1 packet sazon
olive oil
1 can of pinto, kidney or red beans.
tomato sauce
I have no idea what the measurements are.
Sofrito and sazon can sometimes be found in the ethnic isle of the grocery store.

Throw in a pot, cook for about 20-.30 minutes in medium heat.

Serve with white rice.
The above site is a very similar recipe to yours and gives measurements :)

I can't help it. My daughter's nickname is Bean, and everytime I seen this thread, I wonder what kind of dishes she has! :P
