OraProMe
Do any of you have religious tattoos? If not would you ever get one? What would you like? I've always wanted the sacred heart (in colour) on the underside of my left wrist and perhaps, depending how stuff works out, the words "fiat mihi secundum verbum tuum" (be it done unto me according to thy word) on my right. One for Jesus and one for Mary
CatherineM
My son got this really nice Celtic Cross when he was in the Navy (I wouldn't let him have one before then). I can't imagine myself ever getting a tattoo. I have an old surgical scar on my stomach that is now 4 inches lower than it was when I got it, so that's probably just as well. I can't imagine anything looking good on a saggy middle-aged woman.

Maximilianus
I've thought about it, a simple image of my own design, or the symbol on the back of the Miraculous Medal, but I'm so obsessive compulsive that even if I decided on a design I would probably hate it afterwards and want it changed...which would kind of be a problem. dauntingknight
Tattoos are permanet and they don't look good when you forty and your skin begin its cycle of small wrinkles that eventually turn into big wrinkles. I knew a guy who had so many tattoos on that he was mistaken for a different race.
Nihil Obstat
Tattoos are permanet and they don't look good when you forty and your skin begin its cycle of small wrinkles that eventually turn into big wrinkles. I knew a guy who had so many tattoos on that he was mistaken for a different race.
That's the big reason I wouldn't get one; the permanency. Changing your mind is easy, especially with something superficial like that. It would be a regret hanging over you for the rest of your life, getting even worse as it started to look saggy and gross. Removal is very painful, expensive, and very imperfect.
Luigi
And having a tattoo would probably keep a whole lot of orders from accepting you, if you ever decided to enter one.
zabbazooey
Well, I've got a Triquetra (celtic symbol for the Holy Trinity on my lower back. I've had it for 3 years and I won't ever regret my decision. I love my tattoo!
