It is new to me anyway...I would like to know your thoughts...especcially those who are most familiar with it.

This Hymnal is called "Canticle" and it comes from Franciscan Univeristy in Steubenville.

Please don't tell me Missa cum Jubilo is translated Mass of a Joyful Heart.

Although, if it is, at least its in there... :idontknow:

And "Streams of Living Water" for the Sprinkling Rite? What would be so wrong with an English translation of the Asperges? Or... gasp... even the original Latin?!

Now, that's just crazy talk. :ohno:

:scratchhead: hmmm...

It contains "Shout to the Lord"

I'd like to leave it at that.

There is one sitting in my room. It was an assignment. To borrow and evaluate it as a hymnal.

(P.S., look at the musical editors. )

To be fair, it also has all of the marian antiphons, some Latin settings of the mass, and a few latin hymns.

Wow. I'm glad we're not burdened with such a thing. We've already got "Glory and Praise" and "Gather" to burn--er--utilise... then there is this thing called the "Catholic Book of Worship [III]". It's venom is less potent than the others because it contains some nice real hymns and some Latin stuff.
