Which one did you do? de Monfort?

33 Days to Morning Glory, though I plan to use the de Montfort consecration because I didn't like the consecration in the book very much.

Congrats. Our Lady of Seven Sorrows today, good choice.

I chose this day specifically. It seemed like the best choice out of them all, and it resonated with me the most.

Was this your first time? If I had a do-over, I'd have done Fr. Gaitley's my first time, and De Monfort 2nd. De Monfort's was a pretty life changing experience though. I plan to do it again in the near future.

Also, congratulations, I meant to say that in my first post. Marian consecration is a great thing. :)

This is my first consecration, yeah. Fr. Gaitley's is good for teaching you what exactly consecration is and why you're doing it, which is why it's a great first-starter. I plan to do mine like Saint John Paul the Great and renew it daily, and next year I'm going to do Saint Louis de Montfort's, though I hear it is quite challenging.

Gaitley's description is pretty perfect. It's basically a long list of litany's that you say everyday, which keeps getting longer. But it's amazing, don't let that dissuade you from doing it.

My only issue with using Saint Louis de Montfort's today is I have to write it down and sign it, which is going to take forever. I should probably get around to it sooner rather than later. :P His flowery language is preferable, but the consecration itself is long-winded and straining on the hand to write down.

Do you not have the book? I think I have extras I can send you, perhaps.

Thanks, but I have to do it today. I just did it, but I was incredibly distracted by noise which thus frustrated me, so I'm calling it a mulligan and trying again later when it's more quiet.

Haha I made the decision to write mine after mass kneeling at the communion rail in front of a statue of Mary (I believe it was Mary Queen of Hearts). By the end my legs were numb and my hand started to hurt. When I read the paper I laughed cause you can see the frustration levels in the handwriting towards the end of the consecration. Good times.

You know how Fr. Gaitley at the end of his book says Mary will do huge things for you once you've consecrated yourself? I did the consecration not 15 minutes ago, and I was just notified the Knights of Columbus council from my old town has just sent a $400 check to me to pay for a plane ticket for a vocational trip I'm doing in Indiana.
