A Bunch Of Catholic Books

This thread is going to be a huge temptation for me since I suffer from book lust. Just pm me the entire list of all of your pre-Vatican II books. I love the old stuff. ☺️

haha, I just actually have the two, the Imitation of Christ and the St. Joseph's Missal.

Considering I've used all the bookshelf space I have in my house, and I have boxes and boxes of books at home, I'll have to pass this time. Plus, DtA already snagged the things I was most interested in.

A note on bookshelf space, the above statement is actually inaccurate. I've more than used my bookshelf space. I'm using the top of my dresser as a supplemental bookshelf for devotional books. And am quickly running out of room.

Okay, for example, the 1 & 2 Corinthians Commentary. The table of contents is:

Letters of Wisdom, Passion, and Guidance: An Introduction to First and Second Corinthians

A Closer Look at Paul's Corinth

Wisdom and Folly - 1 Corinthians 1-4

Divisions and Disputes - 1 Corinthians 5:1-11:1

Christian Worship - 1 Corinthians 11:2-14:40

The Resurrection - 1 Corinthians 15-16

The Blessings and Pain of Christian Ministry - 2 Corinthians 1-6

Repentance and Generosity - 2 Cor 7-9

Paul's Self-Defense - 2 Cor 10-13

So it looks like that within each chapter, there is a block of Bible verses, then commentary. Like in the first chapter, there is 1 Cor 1:1-9, then commentary on those verses.

Thank you Red for the book, I received it last night in the mail. It's awesome and in such great condition! I'm very happy with my purchase. If you were on Ebay I would give you top marks as a seller.

I'd still like to get rid of these books. If you're interested, please send me a pm with what you're thinking about paying. I have a great ebay track record, and people here who have bought from me can vouch for me.
