eagle_eye222001 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 All Dogs Go to Heaven as taught by the movies "All Dogs Go to Heaven" and "All Dogs Go to Heaven 2." I mean....if they didn't, it would be "No Dogs Go to Heaven." I'm sure the movies cite the Catechism in their conclusion...
InPersonaChriste Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012
To me, heaven is a place where there are no cats.
I agree, but the Egyptians wouldn't
Luigi Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 There can be no animals in heaven. I deduced this on my own, a la Thomas Aquinas though. Heaven is a place or state of perfect happiness. Dogs make some people unhappy. Therefore, dogs cannot be present in heaven or they would reduce the state of perfect happiness of those who don't like dogs. Likewise, some people do not like cats. Therefore, cats cannot be admitted to heaven, for they would destroy the state of perfect happiness of souls who don't like cats. Likewise, birds (such as the hummingbirds that dive bombed Selah at summer camp last year) make some people unhappy. So no birds permitted. And so on. And so forth. And this same logic might apply to people that I don't like.
Laudate_Dominum Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Everyone in heaven will be enlightened and holy and I speculate that they will love cats and dogs, seeing them in all their glory. Serious dog or cat haters might even get some purgatory time to be purified of that fault. hehe.
brandelynmarie Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012
Although that last sign sounds like something I would say.
Me too. I would say it just because.

Papist Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Do All Dogs Go To Heaven? No, only the ones without mortal sin on their souls.

Dennis Tate Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012
To me, heaven is a place where there are no cats.
But didn't Rabbi Jesus/Yahushua inspire his servants to compare him with a lion? I believe that we can learn a lot about the personality of our Creator through many of the characteristics that he put in animals. If you do a search for animals and near death experiences you will run into some surprising information. Approximately one person in six who has an NDE meets with a deceased pet. This would fit with animals being able to communicate with humans before the fall of Adam and Eve. In the Apocalypse it is stated that the Messiah comes riding on a white horse, in Psalms it talks about Messiah riding on a cherub....is the white horse of the Apocalypse made in the form of a horse????
Selah Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Plus, Orthodox monks love cats. It's like a requirement to have a cat if you want to be a monk See, you guys think I'm joking. :D
MRSannie Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 only certain breeds go to Heaven. Labs...automatic. Dachshunds...after lengthy Purgatorial experience. Chihuahuas...too yappy, bound for hell
Nihil Obstat Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger used to feed the stray cats around Vatican city.
Selah Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 Is it true that cats aren't aloud in the Vatican? I read that somewhere and felt sad

I read that somewhere and felt sad
I dunno, but if it's true it would be hard to enforce. It's not exactly impenetrable most of the time.

God the Father Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012 If there are no animals in heaven, send me to hell.
Nihil Obstat Posted February 5, 2012 Posted February 5, 2012
Why is that cubone crying in your avatar?
Probably because it's wearing the skull of its mother.
