Saint Therese
I'm reading "John and Therese: the influence of St. John of the Cross in the spirituality of St. Therese".
CatherineM
"Jesus the Christ" by Walter Kasper. It was intense, and the translation from the original German didn't help any.
Saint Therese
I know this is a stupid question, but what it is about?

CatherineM
My undergrad Christology text was the O'Collins one. Much easier to understand. Have you ever read something that seemed as if the author wanted to impress you with big words? I think it was an important book to read, but I would have edited it/translated the material much differently.
Saint Therese
I don't think much of authors who do that. Seriously, if an author can say what he means to say with less words, then its better.
CatherineM
I'm hoping that in German it was more understandable, and that the translator made it muddy.
