But I really disappoint through this movie it is seem like something attack on my faith or religion. This is movie is looking like anti-Catholic not just anti-Catholic, it is anti-Christianity…………….. When the world is going destroyed in the movie. I watched every religions of the world pray to their God or gods. I see the Vatican, Makkaha a sacred place of Muslims and I see the temples too. Everyone is in the prayers……………… But what happened at the end…………………..Vatican just destroyed not any other religion sacred place……………………why is that? What this movie teach us that Catholics are devil? What this movie give us sign? Why any body not claims against this movie? In which world I am living majority is Non Christian, we are always suffering for our faith and now this is new issue in the hands of this majority ( Non Christians)………. My dear Christian brothers and sister we have to think about these things not happened that make issue against Christianity. I don’t know what we can do for it but it is really wonder me why this movie is in the top ten movies and in Christian world this is going to be famous no one objection on this movie…………?????????????????????

[/quote] Hardly anyone in America would recognize the Hagia Sophia, the Kaaba, the main Jewish synagogue in Jerusalem, or any major Buddhist, Hindu, or Shinto shrine. Everyone recognizes St. Peter's. They aware to Kaaba, Jerusalem, or any major Buddhist, Hindu, or Shinto shrine. And this movie not just released in the USA it is released around the world.

Nobody in Hollywood really likes what they perceive the Church as. The Church is the antithethesis of Hollywood. Its teachings contradict the the bulk of what their movies are about: unjust violence, sexual immorality, lies, nihilism, and drug use. ~Sternhauser

Because if they destroyed the Kaaba or etc in this film. They should be ready to get troubles. Very intelligent Hollywood (USA)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

[/quote] No, as I said, there are three reasons. 1. Americans would not recognize those other places. 2. Hollywood and probably the majority of the people who see this movie dislike their perception of the Catholic Church. 3. It is safer to for filmmakers destroy a building identified with the Catholic Church than it is to destroy of a building identified with those other religions. (And besides, who hates Buddhists? I don't think they meant anything by it... if the could fit in more scenes of destruction with fancy special effects they would, however the average movie-goer would not get why they spent ten minutes of film showing the destruction of various obscure holy places. The Vatican is famous, it's big and it's pretty, so of course they chose to blow it up. It's the same reason they always blow up the White House or Congress and not the Executive Building.
