If I understood him correctly, he's saying that Hollywood movie script writers are a group of cowards who only attack the Church (which they do hate) because they know Catholics won't drive a truck bomb into a Hollywood movie set, while if they attacked the Mahometan cult, Mahometans might just do that. ~Sternhauser Edited December 3, 2009 by Sternhauser

A decir la verdad a los seguidores de Mahomet es recibir la vida eterna. ~Sternhauser
So then i think Hollywood not hate to Catholic they just do not dare to destroyer any other religion sacred place.
No, as I said, there are three reasons. 1. Americans would not recognize those other places. 2. Hollywood and probably the majority of the people who see this movie dislike their perception of the Catholic Church. 3. It is safer to for filmmakers destroy a building identified with the Catholic Church than it is to destroy of a building identified with those other religions. (And besides, who hates Buddhists? They just wear cool robes, make cool buildings, and talk about how cool nothing is.) ~Sternhauser Edited December 3, 2009 by Sternhauser
Maggyie
It's just a movie... I don't think they meant anything by it... if the could fit in more scenes of destruction with fancy special effects they would, however the average movie-goer would not get why they spent ten minutes of film showing the destruction of various obscure holy places. The Vatican is famous, it's big and it's pretty, so of course they chose to blow it up. It's the same reason they always blow up the White House or Congress and not the Executive Building. DemonSlayer
I haven't the film, but after seeing the trailer, it seems that they probably do have an anti-Christian agenda, not only with Catholics and St Peter's Basilica being destroyed, but also the cracking on the Sistine Chapel ceiling precisely between God and adam (the Creation of Adam painting) as the roof breaks apart. CatherineM
It is cheaper on a film's budget to blow up something that has already been digitized as St. Peter's and the Sistine Chapel have been.
