I can't read his heart; my point there was more to reflect the things done in the past as a result of similar thinking.

You can't read his heart? So you find it plausible? What similar thinking does Obama have which has led to death camps for Christians?

I find it plausible, yes. Hitler also tried to build a perfect society, as did Stalin. Those who try to do so without God's help often find themselves committing atrocities, especially when they have the kind of power that exists behind the US presidency. On the other hand, we have kings who are saints and who did immense good for their kingdoms by following God in leadership.

"For at present we all tend to one mistake; we tend to make politics too important. We tend to forget how huge a part of a man's life is the same under a Sultan and a Senate, under Nero or St. Louis. Daybreak is a never-ending glory, getting out of bed is a never-ending nuisance; food and friends will be welcomed; work and strangers must be accepted and endured; birds will go bedwards and children won't, to the end of the last evening." -G. K. Chesterton

It's the people who believe this bs that are ruining America.

This isn't Germany, Obama isn't Hitler. Move on and stop trying to scare people into your world view.

This perfect society, the Kingdom of God, is the work of Christ in and through man. It must be accomplished in the hearts of each man before it is able to spread throughout society. The conversion of every citizen is necessary. It may never be achieved in this life, but we place our hearts in the hope of the Kingdom of Heaven, for although there is nothing new under the sun, God is above the sun, its Creator. In Him alone will our souls find rest.

This is something a lot of Phatmassers with great political aspirations need to remember most of all.

As you can see from the article, the entire point is not being scared.

I'm on my 10th president, 5 Republican and 5 Democrats. Each one had their pluses and minuses, more on the minus side. The make-up of the Congress and Senate has more to do with the real running of the country. Luckily, that make-up can be changed every two years if we work hard enough.

If at some future time, Christians are rounded up, I will go. I'm not afraid of red robes.

Oh, I realize this, but I acknowledge Obama's elected position as the figurehead of the whole horrid movement.

Care to actually respond to his argument? Or explain an argument of your own at least?

Simply dismissing your opponent's position is not an effective debate tactic.

We don't actually know if Hitler was an atheist or not, there isn't enough evidence either way. As for Stalin, he was insane and dangerously powerful. If you want to look a good society built without god, take a look at Singapore.

As for those who did immense good for their kingdoms by following God in leadership...Most of the monarchs who ordered innocent women to be executed for "witchcraft" were Christians.

1. I never accused Hitler of being atheist. The article has little to do with atheists; it has to do with those who oppose God. Atheists are not the only people who oppose God.

2. Singapore, as I understand it, has inhumane corporal punishment laws over even minor violations. I'm sure that they are not the perfect society.

3. Christianity is against killing the innocent. You can't accuse Christianity of crimes committed by its members any more than I can accuse atheism of all the murders committed at the hands of Communists. People commit crimes, not religions. Anyone who is was led to their immoral decisions by their religion or philosophy can only be accused of misinterpretation when that religion or philosophy is against their decisions. You can't blame the religion or philosophy itself unless it encourages the behavior. Nowhere will you find a doctrine of the Catholic Church that teaches us to kill witches, unless you want to try to put it under capital punishment, but the Church's teachings regarding that are only principles to guide the decisions of secular leaders, so you would have to blame the secular leaders, who may or may not have been acting in a Christian manner.

Burning those who engage in witchcraft is mandated in the Torah I believe.

"Witches" in the european sense, from what I've learned, were not always "innocent". They sought witchcraft for the sake of power. Though they didn't get glitter coming from their fingers, they had a great psychological affect on societies and they themselves knew this in some way. Still innocent? By the way, there weren't hunts, per se. Anywho, there are probably threads on this matter. Try to hold to the subject.

Woohoo! Red robes! It seems red martyrdom may become inescapable in the future.
