What I love about this song and about Mary in general is that she STANDS at the cross. She's not crumpled in a ball below it or prostrate on the ground, or slumped against John. She STANDS. Imagine the strength. When my father died I crumpled to my knees on the floor. That wasn't nearly as traumatic as Mary's loss of her son. I cannot imagine the strength she had.

a whole lot of nothing . . . which suggests either the sheet music publishers are smarter than the recording industry, in that they never let the stuff get digitized . . . or . . . people haven't felt the urge to share sheet music?
