I was a Cub Scout for a minute, then a Boy Scout for a couple of years, made it to 2nd class.
Troop 240, Vilseck Germany, Transatlantic Council.
My brother made it to Life Scout.
My dad was a Scout too, according to him the stuff he learned as a Boy Scout in Puerto Rico helped him out in Army Basic training...the orienteering I learned in Boy Scouts helped me in Marine Boot Camp.

Boy Scouts started out becasue Baden Powell (The Founder) had men coming in not knowing how to cook meals or even start fires.

I was never in girl scout, but I heard that girls scout that they do not allow God.

That's sick

I also hear that the do not allow boys at their camps and its ok for girls to camp out with the guys.

The Girl Scouts still have the word God in their promise, but its indicated that that can mean anything you want it to be. Some councils have also partnered with planned parenthood for various activities.
I was a GS for 20 years, my mum for 55. I quit when they devalued the camping and outdoor activites and my daughter became a Boy Scout. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts do have co-ed weekends, but they are very heavily chaperoned and quite fun.

Sort of, but not really.
To make a long story brief; Army brat.
I was born in Germany, but not a German officially because my parents are American Citizens.

Irony... in fact, I should be working on my eagle project proposal right now-don't want to keep my priest waiting!

PLEASE, somebody send me a message to get off here and get working!

This is the current patch of my council, but I can't find the old one that I wore.
