Objectively speaking, it is a sin not to become Catholic. How can you read the quote from the papal encyclical posted by Knight, which I posted a few posts back and yet hold on to your point of view?

"... and that they can no longer be observed without sin after the promulgation of the Gospel."
Well Bennn go and read the whole document (which I know you have not done otherwise you wouldn't be making this argument)

Then ask the question "Is this document about Jews practicing their faith?"

(the answer will be no but at least you will have learned something today)

Sorry Jåmie, I cannot continue this debate currently, life is calling, it is more important. Also note that because your form of debating unfortunately brings my heart rate up to dangerous levels, (seriously not joking) I'm regrettable forced to ignore your posts for in foreseeable future. This is not meant to be an insult to you personally but for my health. Yet in future I hope and pray you learn to be more charitable in how you respond to others, and not to place words in their mouth and accuse them of being bigots when they are not.

God Bless.

I never called you a bigot. It is you who is making things up. I said several times your post was antisemitic.

And I hope you feel better

Exactly. That is why it is sinful for CAtholics to participate in a Seder. The Seder was held by the Jews, whilst waiting for the Mssiah. Therefore, the Traditions reflect the feeling that Jesus Christ has not yet come. Thus, the teaching is heretical, and Catholics in good standing cannot participate in such events. That is the end of it. Period.

The Bishops seem to disagree with you.
From the USCCB
28. It is becoming familiar in many parishes and Catholic homes to participate in a Passover Seder during Holy Week. This practice can have educational and spiritual value. It is wrong, however, to "baptize" the Seder by ending it with New Testament readings about the Last Supper or, worse, turn it into a prologue to the Eucharist. Such mergings distort both traditions. The following advice should prove useful:

When Christians celebrate this sacred feast among themselves, the rites of the haggadah for the seder should be respected in all their integrity. The seder . . . should be celebrated in a dignified manner and with sensitivity to those to whom the seder truly belongs. The primary reason why Christians may celebrate the festival of Passover should be to acknowledge common roots in the history of salvation. Any sense of "restaging" the Last Supper of the Lord Jesus should be avoided .... The rites of the Triduum are the [Church's] annual memorial of the events of Jesus' dying and rising (Bishops' Committee on the Liturgy Newsletter, March 1980, p. 12).
I don't think you're accusing bishops of heresy, are you?
