Prayers For Father Patrick J. Sheedy

Father Patrick Sheedy is the head priest at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church in Ocala Fl. He is a very devout man, a very manly type of man too. As you can guess by his name he is of Irish descent, he was born in America. He has given first Holy Communion to my kids and provided for their confirmation, he has always been a very devout and trustworthy man. a lawyer is pressing a suit against him for sexual abuse for a man in a nearby county in Fl. I doubt these accusations are true, Father Pat is, and has and always will be trusted around my family. Please pray that these accusations turn out to be false, one way or another he will always be marred by these accusations, but I would love to hear of him proven to be falsely accused. Please pray too for the man who accused him, either he is a liar or he actually was molested, either way he needs our prayers too. In my mind I feel that with the scandals in the church these days it is too easy for one to level a false accusation to try and make money, Father Pat has announced he will fight these charges and prove his innocence, may God be his guide.

Father Patrick is an honorable and devoted priest at Blessed Trinity. Last summer I went into a coma. My husband went and got Father Pat to come to the hospital to pray for me. He was to go out of town for the death of a family member. He first came to the hospital to pray for me. I awoke three days later and I will always thank Father Pat for taking time out of his busy schedule to come to my aid when no one thought I would come out of my coma. I first met Father Pat when my mother passed away and we called him in the middle of the night and he came to the hospital to pray over my mother her last rights. He later was the priest I chose to have the mass for her after her passing. To me he has been nothing but a good Catholic Priest who stands by his oath, to help others, no matter what. I pray that he will exonorate himself, and will stand by him during this hard and trying time. I will also pray for the person who has accused him.

One of my favorite priests told me once that being accused of something like this was his greatest fear in life. He said that with one swoop, he would lose his livelihood, his home, his insurance, and all his friends. I do think it is telling that this was not a criminal prosecution, but rather a civil suit.

Father Pat Sheedy is innocent, plain and simple!!! I have known Father Pat for 22 years. I am part of a large extended family and the majority of our children have recieved Baptism, first communion and confirmation from Father Pat and he has married many of them also. He has been in our homes and among our children numerous times. He is a man of honor. unfortunatly their are true cases of abuse in the Catholic Church but this is not one of them. Father Pat is being falsely accused. The truth will prevail and Father Pat will be vindicated!!!!!!!!!

I to know Fr. Patrick Sheedy, and he has also guided my children through there baptizms, first communions & conformations, we have a huge family and have had our children in the presents of Fr. Pat since they have been children and NOT ONCE did we ever have to hear of any such misconduct from this great man of God, he is a man of HONOR, RESPECT, MORALS, INTEGRITY, WISDOM and devote to our Lord and the Catholic Church!!!!! we love him dearly and in a heartbeat my kids and grandkids would be allowed to stay anywhere any time with this priest, the name PATRICK J. SHEEDY speeks for itself, you dont get the recognition and respect this man has earned by accusations of such wrong doing, I pray for the poor soul that has to stoop so low in dispair to have to try and ruin a man of Fr. Pats stature, and yes by all means bring the guilty clerymen who have done wrong to justice but please leave the inocent clerymen alone to serve their parish and our Lord.................now for the answered prayers as I was typing the letter I just got the news FR. PATRICK J. SHEEDY of Ocala Florida Blessed Trinity Parish has been cleared of any and all allegations against him!!!!!!!! Praise the Lord Justice has Pervailed....We love you Fr. Pat

I also know and love father pat ive know him a few years my husband known him scince he was a little boy and my 2 children made there communion with father 'PAT' as we call him hes truley a special truthfull heart felt man. for some one to acusse him of such a ly should be ashamed and prayed for because i would never believe for 1 minute that its true.I beleive this will pass his inocence will shine through and prayer will get him through this i wouldn't believe everything you here in life theres a lot of evil people in the world, god bless.

Well here is one lone Presbyterian who believes in Fr. Sheedy. He counseled me some 27 years ago leading into my first marriage. Saw me thru the death/passing of that wife; has continued to support me in my second marriage. God used him in my life and surely I am a better man for knowing him...yes prayers. Henry Philpot

I have known Fr Pat for over 30 years. While we lived in his area he was a frequent visitor in our home. My children love this man as much as they love us and we are grateful that he has been a part of our lives. He has had a strong influence in their faith and closeness to Jesus. He has flown all the way to Phoenix Az to confirm the children and we went to Port Canaveral to have him preform the wedding sacrament for our daughter as he had done for us all those years ago.

How could anyone blame a preist like him? The only thing I can imagine is that this person had psychologically blocked what had happened to him and confused a time when Fr. Pat had counseled him with the actions of another person. If Fr. Pat is guilty of anything it is caring too much about his flock. He would give his own life for one of them.
