I understand that it is grave matter for public figures, particularly legislators, to violate the sanctity of life by promoting, endorsing, or acquiescing to pro-abortion legislation.
Why aren't pro-abort politicians disciplined for causing this public scandal.

Perhaps a better question is why not more? Because Bishops are human, Canon Law is not crystal clear on the issue, some Bishops are super liberal politically, and many probably rightfully fear political consequences against the Church.

I am with you however, earthly politics are likely to beaver dam you, so I say beaver dam the torpedos.
