*facepalm*

Btw, I never really got why they had to have a "Scrabble Dictionary", though I can imagine the discrepancies over what's allowed to be played. People look to a higher power to see if the obscure word is legit or not.

Generally, I think you just need a previously agreed-upon authority to fall back on. Some dictionaries leave out more obscure terms or contractions or what-have-you.

Plus the official Scrabble dictionary has a bunch of ridiculous junk that nobody ever uses. Zarf, for instance.

I think it has something to do with pizza......

Oh, no. I'm wrong. Coffee.
A Zarf is a holder, usually of ornamental metal, for a coffee cup without a handle.

There was some other stupid word starting with a z that had to do with pizza.

I'll wait for Raphael to rule on this one. But, I doubt the Magisterium has gotten around to ruling on Internet scrabble. In the absence of official rules, my "common sense" answer would be that as long as the words used in the Scrabble game, or the conversation during the Scrabble game, do not lead to impure thoughts or occasions for sin (no, "dirty word" Scrabble, for example), the mere fact that you are not in the same room when playing Scrabble means that Internet scrabble is more acceptable for unmarried couples than Scrabble in person.

When in doub, a rousing game of "Crazy Eights" or "Yahtzee" is always acceptable.

Internet Scrabble...hmmm...unmarried people could play celibate scrabble online, but no one could play the kind that produces babies online, which would separate the pleasure from the objective purpose of Scrabble. Of course, the internet feeds Scrabble addictions even offline. The last thing we need is kids finding their father's Scrabble under the mattress and thinking it's the harmless celibate edition. Think of the trouble that could produce!

We tried to spell C-H-I-L-D

But between the two of us and a few extra letters it came out C-H-I-L-L-E-D. And that's what we've been doing in Hawaii ever since :).

I'll post pictures soon, I have a wife to go read with!
