I'm waiting for my health insurance to be processed and I am worried that I might have hypothyroidism. I have family history and several symptoms (fatigue, poor appetite, alternating between hot and cold, hormonal issues, etc). I have been tested several times in the past, but have come up "normal." I am convinced that I am a "subclinical" case who's scores do not register as abnormal but can still have symptoms. My mom, dad, and sister all have hypothyroidism. My mom has several family members that have it. It's only a matter of time before I get it too. I don't want it, though. I have been taking a natural thyroid supplement to help (no glandular concentrates, though) and I plan to go to an ENT specialist when my insurance finally kicks in. Please pray that these health issues can be sorted out without medication.
