Hello!

Laetitia will be entering a Dominican Religious Order on October 6, 2010. :nun3: I'm so excited for her! Our PhatMass friend will be leaving and starting a beautiful new life! What can be more wonderful than the calling of giving your whole soul and life to Jesus forever?!

So let's celebrate! Have some fun ideas or fun photos? Or some words of congratulations? Beautiful songs, video, music, etc.? Here's the party.

Laetitia, how have you been feeling and what have you been doing before you enter?

Prayers for you Laetitia on this new journey. :nunpray:

God bless you.

Soooo....

- What have I been feeling?

Well, it's been something of a mini-roller coaster ride. There are moments where I can't help but think to myself, "WHAT ON EARTH AM I DOING???" but for the most part, I feel like I'm just cruisin' along. I have yet to experience that giddy delirium of squeals and uncontrolled excitement... instead, there's just that deep sense of peace.

However, the last time I entered, I was pretty much :w00t: 24/7 since the moment I found out I was accepted. :paperbag: :hehe2:

- What have I been doing before I enter?

So far I'm still getting together the last few things from my Postulant List O'Supplies when I have the time to get out of the house. Mostly, I've been babysitting my lovely and oh-so-adorable niece and nephew. My goal is to finish packing BEFORE the night before.

Tomorrow night I'll be traveling out of town for the weekend to visit with my dear friends from the diocese I entered the Church in. They're pretty much my "Catholic family", so we're having a little get-together/Farewell party. I think saying goodbye this weekend will help things to really sink in. It will be difficult, but good and beautiful nonetheless.

Hmmm... what else? :think2:

Well, I've been reading a lot of books that I don't think I'll be reading for a long time -- like The Lord of the Rings  and the HP7. I've watched some favorite Star Trek: The Next Generation episodes and movies. :nerd: And as silly as this might sound, I've been trying different beers -- like a most delectable Vanilla Porter from Breckinridge Brewing Company. :drunks: Haha! (Though I promise, I have not gotten drunk. Honest.)

Oh, and I've been drinking a lot of Cafe Bustelo -- my favorite coffee. The Sisters only have instant coffee... :coffee: So.. soon I shall bid a fond farewell to my beloved Cafe Bustelo. :cry4:

I also need to write some letters to various Sister/nun friends!!! *makes mental note to self* Seriously, I need to get on the ball about that one. :paperbag:

Thank you all SO much for your prayers!!! :notworthy2:

You all will always remain in mine. :blowkiss:

You have some knack for finding THE MOST DE L I C I O U S LOOKING PHOTOS! :clapping: YUM!!

I'd love to have a fruity alcohol drink with you! MMMMmmm.

So, as I nibble on cake and ooey-gooey ice cream, I'll be typing...

I bet Sr. Consolatrice would love to be among the Sisters you'll be writing. :smile3:

I'm so glad to hear you'll be having a farewell party! I hadn't heard of anything until now. It sure calls for it! :)

Honestly, I haven't even thought of all the things I'd like to do before entering if the day should come. It's sort of like that "if you were abandoned on a beach, what would be the one thing you would bring with you?" Or "if you had one day to live, what would you do?"

Come on people... keep the party going... :w00t:

Oh my Gosh --- I love bustelo. I would have it all the time at my mom's (I didn't drink coffee until after I started working full time -- my stomach couldn't handle it).

LC -- I believe Bustelo has instant coffee :). I remember seeing it where I picked up instant Cafe Pilon :) When I'm stuck drinking coffee at work (not Starbucks and not from home), I use hot water and some Cafe Pilon. Its awesomely goooood.

Thomas -- that drawing was great!

You are going to voluntarily spend the rest of your life drinking instant coffee?

Good lord.

Your sainthood is assured. I couldn't do it.

Her community might be like mine, blessed by a generous benefactor who bought them an espresso coffee machine for use on Sundays only :) That way she only has to endure instant for six days a week! :P
