I noticed that Kavalame has made only two posts and yet is posting here on VS. Perhaps she received special permission from a moderator? Whatever the case, I'm sure you were brought here for a special reason. May God bless you as make yourself welcome on Phatmass. I know this is a wonderful place for resources, links, information and all the rest. You will find some very kind people here, and I am happy to say I have made some very good friends - I even ran into a collection of "Phatmassers" at the Nashville profession (two years?) back! I have no idea about the "new" member, but I do know a group of people that I SOMETIMES share an IP address with as we all use a common computer at the same location, which has been disclosed previously. I would be most happy to email their names to you privately as I am not sure, other than DevotedtoHim (Katherine), any of the other members have made their location known. I mean, she's thoughtful, thorough, mature, solidly orthodox while also being generous in spirit ... what is such a person doing hanging out on the internet? Highly suspicious.

I joined because I am discerning a religious vocation and your group was recommended by a member of my parish. Some members have welcomed me, but others seem to be implying that I have broken some rules.....I'm totally at a loss as to what I should do. kavalame

I apologize if I offended you. I'm glad that a member of your parish referred you here. There are a lot of resources available for those discerning a vocation and we offer a kind of "support group" for everyone discerning as well. I am not currently discerning a vocation to religious life, but I am still discerning the consecrated virginity or marriage. Would you like to tell us about yourself? If you have any questions, we'd love to help you answer them, such as what communities you are looking for and such. Again, I apologize if I was offensive, and welcome to Phatmass.

They have helped me out immensely and been very kind and welcoming. I am sure that Master, as she said, is truly sorry. The people on phatmass are good people who honestly want to help and will help if you ask. Please tell us about your discernment. I am very interested personally and I have found, as Master said, this place to be like a support group.
