vee Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 If you made a slideshow or movie of your life what song(s) would you pick? All I can think of right now is one for my wake.
homeschoolmom Posted July 17, 2011 Posted July 17, 2011 Oh my goodness.... Great thread! I won't post all the videos... But... From my childhood (songs which remind me of my dad): Time in a Bottle (Jim Croce) Puff, the Magic Dragon (Peter, Paul and Mary) Seasons in the Sun (by The Kingston Trio) and Red Rubber Ball (the Seekers version) ANYTHING else by The KT, Anything by Andy Williams and, of course... Sinatra! From my brother: Beatles, Doors, Pink Floyd etc. Everything from Weird Al starting with Another One Rides the Bus up to White and Nerdy. Just about everything from the 80s music thread. I really need to make a mixed tape.

missionseeker Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 well, minus the getting high part. But I am loving Damian Marley's hair and dancing. I ran into a guy with hair like that at Winn Dixie one time. He was pretty high. And from Jamaica. His name was Steadman.

MissyP89 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Toward the end of middle school and early high school, I got into both the punk scene and anime/manga/J-pop.
MissyP89 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Then, in high school, I got into the occult and listened mostly to ~~~dark things~~~ and Japanese music, which I was obsessed with until junior year. This one song defines my first 3 years of high school: After that, I got out of the mainstream and listened to a lot of indie musicians and singer/songwriters, which is more my current style. This is from 2006, right before my conversion.
MissyP89 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I got saved in 2006 and mostly listened to all Christian fluffy I LOVE ME SOME JESUS music until the honeymoon wore off. Rofl And from then on, I alternated between contemporary Christian rock and singer/songwriters. Here's one of each that I'm into currently. I also love Jason Mraz, Jack Johnson, Rob Thomas, Goo Goo Dolls, Alicia Keys, Vanessa Carlton... basically anyone that actually sings and makes real music. OK, all done!

Twice I've used the full editor only to have it tack the non-working media tag on to the last post.) And now: Edit: Wow third time was a charm!! Went back to edit out the non-working two media tags in the previous post. OnlySunshine Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 (edited) I am currently in love with two songs: This one is from one of my favorite movies (P.S. I Love You): I love this song so much. If I ever get married, I plan to have it as my first dance song. This is the other from another of my favorite movies (Tangled): I love dancing and singing to this song. It's got such a good beat.
