Actually, I've read extensively on St. Therese and she got a lot if not most of her "little way" from St. Francis de Sales. She read his books/writings while growing up. St. Francis de Sales is the Gentle saint and the saint of Love and St. Therese's writings was based on love, etc.

Are you called to a religious vocation? Does God speak to you in a tiny voice, or hit you over the head with a hammer? Should you look for any special "signs" to know if you are called? Is being single and having a desire for prayer the only requirements of wanting to become a religious sister?

For answers, ask Sister Moderator at the Living Jesus Chat Room on the website of the Second Federation of the Visitation. Ask her how she found her vocation. You'll hear from other women who are on the same path. Sister's discussions are held every Sunday evening, 7:30 - 8:30 pm Eastern Time. The website again is http://visitationspi...esus-chat-room/.

Those of us who are devoted to God need to discern how to recognize God’s will. The divine will may be understood in two ways:

1) God’s declared will, namely, the Commandments of God and the Church, the evangelical counsels and inspirations

2) The will of God’s good pleasure, which we see in all the events and circumstances that may befall us.

Salesian Spirituality calls us to live between what we perceive to be the two wills of God.

St. Francis de Sales and St. Jane de Chantal, founders of the Visitation Order

The Living Jesus Chat Room is a method for the Visitandine sisters to meet and communicate with others interested in deepening their spiritual life. Whether you are a lay person interested in plunging more fully into a way of daily devotion, or even considering a possible vocation to the monastic Visitandine tradition, we invite you to talk with us and others via this chat room.

The chat will be held this Sunday from 7:30 – 8:30 pm Eastern Time, and will be moderated by a Visitandine sister.

Hi Kevin - do you work for the Visitation Order or something? Your posts seem to very similar, in linking to this website. It's great, but probably don't need to post it in every thread though! :)

Not coolness. If he would like to post some thoughts of his own, perhaps - but just to post the same link over and over again - whether to advertise a community or his own website, is just spam.

I would prefer to have him post his link once in a good place - like one of the pinned threads - and then post some of his own thoughts rather than just putting up the same link every time. Definitely turns me off any community he advertises because it's irritating!

I reported his posted links to the mods. Lil Red combined them into one thread. I agree that it is a little annoying.
