Probably because this isn't last year...and because HB is living with her sisters now... :P

From what HB has told me she is still selling rosaries and chaplets as she still has a bit to go on her loans.

Discount catholic store is a sham. I bought something from them months ago. Never got it. Went to call their number. It's 1800- JESUS. Seriously? How's that work. Anyway. Can't call them, no response to the email. But they took my money, so...

If you paid by credit card, you can call the credit card company and file a case. They'll get the money back to you in a few days. And it'll ruin the store's credit with the company. I did this recently with a company that also never delivered. Even if you don't do it for yourself, you should do it for others who might use the same credit card with that store.

I've been wondering: Where can I get a good, American-made (preferably nun-/monk-made) advent wreath or ring? I've been to the monks of St. Meinrad Abbey, but all the stuff in their gift shop is from China (or similar).

I know it's not really ready, but it's there if you want to look. I'm trying to get some more designs ready in time for Christmas, but I don't know if I'll be able to. I do special pieces for people all the time though, and I'm really quite willing to work something out. My prices are very flexible too at this point. :)

Another thing to consider would be to find the companies that Catholic mutual funds invest in and patronize them. Here is theAve Maria funds semi-annual report for one example:

Have you found a supplier for your stamp handles yet? I would definitely buy one or two as Christmas gifts.
