I need to get some of their soaps! Looks like it's a whole-community project during the Christmas season! How exciting though, that one of the novices is preparing for first vows!

I used to make soap for a living - not bars, liquid gallons and stuff - it was truly, utterly, unspeakably horrible.

I gave some of their soap to my aunts - themselves Dominicans - a couple of years ago. They didn't break out in hives, and they said they liked it.

I buy a lot of "stuff" from monasteries. Fruit cakes (okay, don't gag here, but they are really good and we love them!), cheeses, etc. The products are yummy and I know the money is going to a good cause. And I always send a little extra on top of the price to help out, even if in a little way.
