Products That Religious Orders Make....

[i<3LSOP]

Hi Pham,

I was just wondering if you could give me some links to websites that sell products like soap, cakes, dolls that Religious Orders make! I would love to support them and I think that it's really cute how some orders sell things!

[MissScripture]

Summit, NJ Dominicans make soap and lotion and stuff: http://nunsopsummit.org/shop
Last Christmas I bought some for my mom. It was really nice and she said it seemed to last forever, even though she used the lotion every day.

Mystic Monks make coffee (and tea, now, I think): http://www.mysticmonkcoffee.com/store/storefront.php
I don't drink coffee (or tea), so I have never ordered anything from them, but my parents do a lot, and they LOVE it.

The Franciscan Friars of the Renewal make hot sauce, but they do not sell it online. And that would be a long drive for hot sauce.

Try the "Little Carmel on the Prairie" soaps made by the Carmel in Alexandria, SD. Bought them once, and they were very nice! I like the lavender and rose scents the best! And they also make these crucifixes, https://picasaweb.go...137583449530258 which Buffalo and Brooklyn Carmels make too. You could write to them about that.

The Carmelites in Notting Hill (London) make the cutest little nun dolls. They've even got a novice one. I join them just so I could make them! They also make other little stuffed toys and Brown Scapulars. Perhaps a little far for anyone in the US but in case you're ever in the UK!

there are even more ideas in this thread:

If your parish ever needs to give a priest a gift, the Benedictines of Mary make the prettiest vestments. *swoon*

One a more meager budget, they have CD's, including a Christmas one. http://benedictinesofmary.org/catalog/93

How could we forget?

Mystic Monk Coffee! http://www.mysticmonkcoffee.com/store/storefront.php (they have tea, too!)

Oh, fail. Both of those that I listed were on the Monastery Greetings website.

They made a casket for the little girl who died in the Arizona shootings. They gave it as a gift to the family--all of the caskets they make for children are usually free because the deaths of children affect the Trappists very much. (This was all in an America article)
