Password Protected Threads On Vs

Could someone explain to me what a password protected thread is? There are now 3 of them on VS this am. How does one set them up? Are you invited to post? ETC.?

If they are the ones with names of certain beverages, they have been moved to the Beer Review phorum, which is password-protected. They are no longer on VS.

Lisa's right. The threads were moved because not only did they not belong in vs but they also belonged in a locked forum (because of the direct reference to alcohol.)

ETA Ok I can't do the photo thing. I am referring to the photo in post no 4 I'm asking because I really love the Passionists but there are none in the UK and I am too old for the English speaking congregations in the US. I have no other languages at fluency level
