It shows He also started out as a Latin Rite, but became one of us, and is possibly our most Eastern bishop. Franciscan and Byzantine spirituality are rather similar, I hear. He's a very musical man, and used to be the director of music for the diocese BEFORE he became a Franciscan/Oratorian. We still use his descants today!
