don't cry, it'll be ok...
[/quote]

the day you make me cry will probably be the day that you drink all my booze, and then i'm more likely to punch you.

Day one summary for my theology midterm:
Why do we need Grace?
Because of Sin (original and actual). Formally considered, Original sin brought with it the loss of Original Justice. This means that mankind has lost sanctifying grace, the theological virtues, and the preternatural gifts – all of which dispose our souls to God. Materially considered, Original Sin beget concupiscence in our souls, a darkness that attempts to blight the light of Christ. Thus, as we are born with original sin, upon death, without God's sanctifying grace, we are eternally cut off from God. We are therefore in need of a Redeemer, because there is no way for man himself to remove these effects of original sin. But even after receiving sanctifying grace through Baptism, man can cut himself off from God by personally committing actual sin (under the conditions required of mortal sin). In Mortal sin, we cut ourselves off from sanctifying grace, from the charity given in Baptism, because we deliberately choose something other than, and in opposition to, God.

Pretty much.

In other news, a friend brought over all her study materials earlier and we spent the good portion of the afternoon laying on the floor and doing mathy stuff on my mirror. :hehe:
