Fall Entrances (and Misc Updates)

Looking over VS I realized we have a lot of people entering and I know I am getting confused on who is entering where and when. This makes it a bit hard to pray for y'all so I did some searching through the thread and now I present
[center] The Guide to VS Fall 2012 Entrances and vocation updates! [/center]

In chronological order:
Miss Scripture's Sister - 1st vows, Nashville Dominicans, July 28th
Deus te Amat- entering, Nashville Dominicans, August 15th
Ale SOLT- entering postulancy, SOLT, August 22nd
Lisa- entering,Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church, August 28th
AveMariaPurissima.- entering Trinitarians of Mary, September 8th
Queen's Daughter- entering Benedictines of Mary Queen of Apostles, September 15th
Hopeful Bride- entering, Sisters of Mary Mother of the Church, TBA

Applying: Mater, Emmaberry (?)

I think Emily Ann should be back from her live in soon too!

If I missed someone or messed up any info let me know. I'm going to try to keep this updated with news links, pictures etc as they come along.

Thank you for the list TheresaThoma! It is so nice to see all the names together. It makes you realize how many entrances/vows/etc are happening, which is so encouraging. I don't know if the question mark beside my name was for me (possible facepalm?) but if it was, then yes I am applying. If it was for MM, yes, she is applying as well.

I can't wait until the August entrances have PICTURES! The best part of VS is definitely the picture updates.

Lisa is entering the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist (sorry, habitual typing there)

Emma and Mater are both applying for sure.

One of my housemates is entering in that same federation but in Virgina. She is entering 8/22! So beautiful!!

My friend, Sr. Annunciata Maria, and her classmates from the Sisters of Life are due to make first vows at the end of August. She never was a member here (that I know of), but I just can't contain her wonderful news! I saw her this past December at a young adult retreat and she was glowing.

(Keep in mind that when Faith Cecilia was getting ready to enter Notting Hill, I was the one who kept making reference to Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts. I am kind of hopelessly lame.)

Honestly, some of those nuns have been in the monastery for so long that they might not even be aware of the alien hype! It's like what Mother Mary Francis said in ARTBM about older nuns discussing what 'rock and roll' meant. They eventually decided it had to do with the movement of a ship!

That is so exciting-is it the Alexandria house? Virginia is lucky to have so many Poor Clares in its midst!

EDIT: this is the poster emmaberry on my topic posting account-sorry, forgot to switch over.

I wanted to ask all you fall entrants whether you think it would be a good idea to take organ lessons before entering the convent. Also, I need new glasses. Mine now are a thin pink frame, and I am thinking the nuns might not appreciate the pink...I could be wrong! Does anyone have suggestions for what type of glasses to buy? I am thinking just black or brown frame, but I really do like the pink. Thanks! [size=2](sorry if this is highjacking.)[/size]

It is-I looked it up and that is Sr. Marie Angelique's community, which just seems wonderful. Virginia is beautiful, also. She is so blessed. I will be praying for all these August entrants!
