I guess I should maybe also go ahead and tell you guys, too, that I'm gay. Not because it matters too much to a bunch of strangers, but because it was part of my motivation for signing up and getting involved. The online anonymity is a huge plus for me, as so many in the Church don't understand me or my struggle. It can be a very lonely life, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

I appreciate your respect and tenderness with this, as I assume the majority of you have no personal experience in this area.

I'm happy to join what seems to be a very loving and tight-knit community, and to share our faith together. I hope to learn something from each of you, and maybe offer some perspective sometimes from my experience. I am sure we can all benefit from one another.
