Baseball And Nuns

Vocations Night was on friday and it was at a minor league baseball game.

There were many Catholics there....Priests, Deacons, Seminarians, Nuns, the Bishop, and many families!

Here is the story:

My Family and I went with a group of amesome ppl....we went on a bus.....after we were riding....I needed to go to the bathroom but I had to be more patient so I had to wait for about 20 or more minutes. We arrived and got in the stadium....I was handed a free bobble head of one of the managers..but we were stopped by a hot security guard and looked through our bag (we had water and some other goodies in it). He told us that we couldn't bring the bag in the stadium, etc. So my Dad had to take the bag back to the bus.....I was not very happy. Who wouldn't be? A bottle of water costs over 3 bucks or more. Seriously? But they didn't look into my Grandma's purse which I had a tiny bottle of mountain dew in it. Woot!! at least I could survive until after the game and the fireworks! I went to the bathroom finally....I felt much better...and less angry! Haha


We found our seats.....I sat down....I was sorta nervous....I was looking around for the Dsmmes....about 10 minutes later I saw a few of them across the stadium........As I was having a convo about my dsmmes with my Grandma....I turned my head and boom...There and behold was my DSMMES walking down the steps...I got up from my seat and saying excuse me a lot to . Because I was "running" to meet them. And I was stepping on ppl's toes.....my seat wasn't that far from the steps just about 10 feet away. I almost tripped too but cut myself on the railing..thank God the railing was there or I would have fallen into the arms of a Sister. So I poke one of the Sisters....She recognized me...gave me a hug...then I got more hugs from the Sisters as they were descending from the steps.

Then I went back to my seat and talked with my Grandma. Before the game started with a dsmme throwing a first pitch and a rsm sister throwing a first pitch too. The bishop also threw a first pitch too. IT WAS EPIC!! You know they announced who was throwing the first pitch and the RSM sister's name sounded familiar. I believe and I think...I really think....I know it had to be her....I think she was a former pm'er! But I didn't get to meet her because I didn't know where she was sitting.

Speaking of sitting......After that.....I went over and sat with my Dsmmes....Anyway they had to leave early before the game ended but I stayed with them. Until they had to get their pictures taken. We chatted. They asked me about hunting and if I had anymore nosebleeds, etc. Also one of the Sister was handed a baseball by one of the members from the away team. But it was pretty epic though. I had a great time.

Oh the game? Well we won...5-4! After the game we had fireworks!!!! IT WAS LIKE THE 4TH OF JULY!!!!


No I didn't take any photos with the Sisters because I am too shy...ok I am not that shy....but I forgot.....they had to leave early. And I forgot my camera and I wouldn't be abled to post pics from my phone.


Anyway I had a blast but I wished that I got to meet amesome ppl who went to Camp V. But oh well!

Nobody in England plays baseball. I only barely know what it is.

But nuns! Nuns are razzle dazzle! Especially DSMME's.

We have a 'Priests vs. Seminarians' event with basketball in a nearby diocese.... that is a fundraiser for the seminary!

I just ordered that shirt for my brother!

He is going to wear it when he starts school soon. His school is Protestant and very anti-Catholic (still better than the public schools in my area), so he should cause quite a bit of commotion. He is a trouble maker, that one.

PS: Surprisingly, his anti-Catholic school studies St Thomas Aquinas and St Augustine's writings, among other notable Catholics. The only problem is that they claim that these Saints were Protestants.
