They are currently trapped in New York due to hurricane Sandy. They left last Thursday to go see my brother who lives in Brooklyn, and they were supposed to come back on Monday but all flights to and from New York were cancelled. They had spoken to the airlines, and had rescheduled flights back for Thursday out of JFK Airport, but they found out tonight that those were cancelled as well and the next flights aren't until Saturday due to cleanup and damage repairs.
I have been by myself in Texas since they left, and it's starting to take a toll due to just the magnitude of damage I'm seeing on the news and the worry if they are safe and away from the really bad damage. My brother's apartment is okay, just a few ceiling leaks but no flooding.

Pray that they are able to come home soon, and for my patience and peace of mind. Also for those who have had significant losses because of the storm and for those who are taking part in relief efforts. May God hold them in the palm of His hand.
