All of the girls get countdowns to their retreats, so I decided it was only fair to have a countdown to my trip to Seminary.

Six days to go!

How long are you staying!?

it is a very good seminary, from all I have heard. One of my former brothers was a seminarian there.

If you're thinking Benedictine, and you're thinking about going to Benedictine in Kansas, why don't you visit the monks in Atchison?

I'm not thinking of becoming a Benedictine Monk. I'm thinking of becoming a Diocesan Priest, and Conception Seminary is where the Diocese sends you by default.

And this is day three since it is passed midnight, for the record.

Oklahoma City sends their diocesan priests to Conception Seminary and has for years. I would have to say that judging by the priests I have encountered over the years in OKC, Conception Seminary leans to the left, perhaps not all the way liberal but definitely to the left. Be aware of that.

It doesn't, actually. It is very traditional. It doesn't do the EF or anything, but it is very traditional. I hear nothing but good about it in terms of orthodoxy and tradition. You should keep in mind that Priests also go to Major Seminary, and this is usually where the heretical teachings are. Conception Seminary is a Minor Seminary. Its main focus is philosophy. Major Seminary is focused on theology, and that's where you have to look out.
