Austrian economics don't dominate the corporate world, or the academic world, or the policy world, because the ideas are silly and lack rigor. Corporations have an incentive to deceive others but they don't have an incentive to deceive themselves.

So? Most Klansmen weren't sincere libertarians when they endorsed Goldwater. A Libertarian world wasn't a live option. But the practical policies that Goldwater would actually impact would have been very beneficial for the actual policies that the Klan cared about.
