very sad that she was rejected by the first community she discerned with just because she was a woman of color... I applaud Catholics who didn't live by the status quo back then and would have seen no problem with her joining an all white community...


...even more sad is that racism still exist in some communities today...not as bad as back then, but it's hidden..which is even more troubling....
