I just watched the show and came away wtih 4 points:

1.  Mother Cecelia is VERY young to be an Abbess

2.  I got a bit tired of watching the tractors and heavy equipment

3.  I wish there would have been more about the actual making if the CD itself

4.  I believe I saw an ex-PCPA as a novice

Did any of you watch it and what were your thoughts about it.  I must admit I was a bit disappointed

Very cool! :like: (that they are persevering in answering God's call to religious life, wherever that may be) I have heard of a number of them who have entered other communities also .. :nunpray:

Thanks for posting the vid, I can't get EWTN in the UK.......

I have the CD and it is beautiful.

Praise God for these women and I pray their noviciate may always be as strong as it is now, five novices (or at least white veils) and a Postulant.

Excuse me, Francis Clare, however I believe Mother Cecelia was appointed prioress (not elected an abbess, as their priory is not an abbey) directly by Bishop Finn after what happened with Mother Therese.

I liked the show very much, myself.

Happy Advent!

Just a note on the comment re the apparent youth of Mother Cecilia......

She states she was in college and studied music then joined an orchestra before her entrance. That makes her at least 24 at that point. Add seven years of formation for final vows...31.

Maybe that seems young for a Prioress, however, at age 21 I became an RN and was in charge of a ward of 30 very sick people and the staff who cared for them, so 31 (maybe plus a couple years) does not seem like it is that incredibly young. In addition she seems to be doing a good job of it, and has the advice and support of her council. Age does not always equate to wisdom, as I know to my own cost in terms of vocation!
