What Are You Giving Your Favorite Community, Sister/nun, Seminarian Fo

Im sending a Christmas card along with a small donation check and a small crocheted cross to my fav sister and her community. Was wondering if anyone else were sending something to theirs?

I am close to a few novices and they asked for CDs (christian music), so I am bringing it down when I visit them in January.

They aren't my "favorite" community but they are like family to me. :)

I know it sounds lame, but I'm probably going to send my sister some really cool pen or something :p Everyone else is sending her cookies, and I didn't want to copy them.

I send my cloistered nuns food each year -- cheeses, small turkey, crab cakes, etc. I've been doing this for a few years now and they seem to love it.  i also send money several times during the year.

Knitting yarn, CD's, these seem to go down really well.

Cards and a homemade CD's of me playing piano. :) I'm broke, so I gotta go with what I got. (Not really...I make $75 a month, but I do have to buy Christmas presents for my family, too.)

I am giving my Pastor, SD, VD, and Archbishop, a small handmade box with a clam shell lid filled with Frankenscense I picked up while in Ethiopia.

I am sending my friend, Sr. Mary Elizabeth, a Christmas card.  Her order is very strict on not having a lot of belongings so I'm not sending any presents.

 

My community is also getting a Christmas card and a donation that is going towards furnishing the new convent where they will be moving in January!  :)

I'm going to send a nice card, and for the novitiate in particular some stationery and stamps (they can't use email like the rest of the Sisters). 

I have a couple other Sister-friends that I will probably send some cards.

I'm going to do spiritual bouquets. I have some really nice homemade cards from my Godmother that I'll use. I learned from her to not write on the note card itself but rather on a piece of paper that you then put in the card. That way whoever receives the card can re-use it.

Those are all really wonderful gift giving and innovative ideas!! (separate paper in note card etc) Alsoreally nice stationary templates as well! :-)
