The website for this is at:  http://www.thelivingfast.org/ .  See this website and the blog post below.  You don't have to belong to or in the Diocese of Dallas to join.

Below is from a great Catholic blog in Dallas:  http://veneremurcernui.wordpress.com/2013/01/15/join-new-fasting-group/  - they also give updates on the Carmel in Dallas:

There is a new group – kind of like a sodality, if you will, called the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary/The Living Fast, that has started up in this our fair Diocese by some good, dedicated souls who felt there was an urgent need to get more souls involved in regular mortification.  They sensed the need in themselves, first, they proposed the idea to others, and very quickly many scores of people had signed up.  They have a at http://www.thelivingfast.org/,  where you can find out all about this living fast, and what it entails, which is, in essence, fasting one additional day every week or so. It’s more than just a fast, however, the intent is that each member of the group offer this fast for the intentions of all the other members, so that what it winds up being is one huge, continual group fast where prayers and mortifications are being offered up constantly to God on behalf of all.  I think it’s a brilliant idea. So brilliant, the founder of this effort, Adrian Montes, will be on my radio show Thursday night!

Obviously, each member has their own particular intentions, but there are general group intentions for the Pope, for our country and its conversion, for the sanctification of all priests and especially our own pastors, etc.

Some info from their website:

Our mission is to fast/sacrifice for the private intentions of the members and the Holy Father, Priests, and Country.  Currently, that means we have 200 souls fasting for your private intentions six days a week, 24 hours a day!  It’s a living fast.  All members are assigned to a team/patron saint that will fast on a particular day of the week.

There are no obligations for members of the group except to fast as agreed on the days appointed – or to pray/offer sacrifices in place of fasting as agreed:

a) One meal a day and/or two lesser that is equivalent to one meal.immaculate-heart.jpg?w=108&h=150

b) For health reasons or women who are expecting/nursing can make a suitable sacrifice in lieu of fasting.

c) Please don’t fast more than twice a week without consulting your spiritual director or confessor.

d) Remember charity comes first…It defeats the purpose if people know your fasting.  For example:  When invited to a formal event, eat and offer another sacrifice.

I should add that this effort is under the spiritual direction of a traditional priest, and a number of priests have signed up themselves. This effort is open to ALL.

Please sign up for the Living Fast by registering http://www.thelivingfast.org/#!register/c1hy3!  That way, you can be assigned your day of fast and the organizers can keep track of the number of people involved.
