jazzytakara Posted March 1, 2013 Posted March 1, 2013 I had my first confession a couple of weeks ago, but I have since remembered a couple of sins that I should have confessed. I didn't willfully hold them back, I just forgot. I performed two examinations of conscience, so I am not even sure how they slipped my mind. I was super nervous. Are those sins still absolved (what if one may be a mortal sin)? Should I bring them up in my next confession?
cappie Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 While it's not necessary, if you like you can always confess them at a later confession. Perhaps it may be good to learn a formula to conclude your confession that may help with things. FOR these and all my other sins which I cannot now remember, I am sorry and intend to do better. I humbly ask pardon of God, and of you, Father, I ask for penance, and absolution. Amen.
