Roamin Catholic Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 What in the world? All I did was diss one thrift store. You don't know much about my life, what I do or don't do. I've gone from literally nothing only raggedy cloths, no home and no money, to a realtivly decent existence. All I see is you all jumping on me for no reason but saying that ONE OR TWO thrift stores in my area are not great places to go shopping. I've been to good ones. My brother freaking WROTE a song about thrift stores. He took a cardbord cutout of Angelena Jo Lee to the prom and a pink suit purchased at a thrift store. I have some nice roller blades purchased at a thrift store. Some are good, but some stink. Get over it. Seriously? I suggested going to Old Navy. Somehow that's me crying poverty? I have NO idea what happened here. All I was doing was lementing that thrift stores in my town are crappy. Have I EVER EVER made an issue about living in poor area before? EVER? I have a maryter attitude becuase I had to defend my statement that my local thrift store was bad. Sorry, I don't think I'm the one who should be apologizing for my attitude. Your definition of "jumping on" is a bit of a stretch. And actually, you were complaining about the poverty in your area and that causing the thrift stores to have a crappy selection. Hence why people took it as a "my life is soo hard" Read your own post before you hit "add reply" maybe you'll actually figure out what you are posting.

And honestly, if complaining over a thrift store is offensive to you and causes you to be depressed by my negativity, then you really should examine if you want to post on a forum, speak to people or in general interact with others.

Also, I'm pretty sure mission suggested JCP over thrift stores where possible as the prices are comparable and JCP is brand new. Don't be a martyr; it's unnecessary. And you are being very "my life is soo hard, I live in such a poor place and can't find any decent clothes." Guess what? Go to the south, a lot of people have it worse than you. Trust me I've been there. Drop the pity party. Aggressive and rude imo

Tufsoles Posted March 5, 2013 Posted March 5, 2013 My thrift store is okay, I can find some good stuff at times. However, I have been in some bad thrift stores as well. Mainly because they were picked over and the good stuff was already gone or people just donated their old junk just to get rid of it.
