The 2 new American novices (18 novices total) went off to Italy in May 2012 and started their year of Novitiate in August on the 2nd, Feast of Our Lady of the Angels. God willing they'll make their first Profession in August 2013. Please keep them in your prayers. You can see their pictures at this link:  http://vienieseguimi.altervista.org/vestrel-258597.html

The two Americans can be seen in picture number 16 (it's similar to a comic strip so you just scroll across to picture number 16 and you'll see the girl from Texas (Claudia, now know as Sister Maria Irenea of Our Lady of Guadalupe) looking straight at the camera and the tall Novice standing behind her  from New York State-that's Alicia, now known as Sister Maria Battista of the Child Jesus).

Co-Founder of the FSI, Father Gabriele M Pellettieri celebrated the Holy Mass (Tridentine Rite) and the Founder Father Stefano M Manelli clothed them with the religious habit. There were 18 novices altogether. What a grace!

I'm pretty sure the Order has them and they just re-use them every year for the new postulants.

Sometimes people donate wedding dresses to communities. Sometimes sisters borrow them from family members. Married Catholic family members often consider it an enormous honor for their "second-hand" wedding dresses to be re-used by a sister taking vows. :-)

Aw, the pictures are down now. Oh well. Maybe they'll come back up. Here she is btw, Klaudi87  She needs a Catholic Religious tag :nun3: (along with a bunch of other PMers like AveMariaPurissima)

Ave Maria!

Wonderful news! I'm sure I've adjusted their microphones at one time or another when they've sung here, or greeted them at the door when stopping by New Bedford, or taken pictures at some event.. Our Lady has since brought in new vocations to take their place here so we'll keep praying for more!

The sisters are blessed to get all that fancy stuff at their espousal, especially the crown of thorns at solemn profession. What about the friars?

I don't recognize the website http://vienieseguimi.altervista.org/vestrel-258597.html, what is it? Perhaps if you know Italian you may find something by scouring some of our other websites at www.immacolata.com or tvimmacolata.net.. Ave Maria!

JMJ,
